Sponsorship

For several years Elohim has been operating via one off donations which whilst always welcome, do not provide the security of regular income meaning that from week to week it is sometimes difficult to see where any more money is coming from. Sponsoring a child at Elohim would help to solve this problem. Sponsorship would ensure that Elohim’s children never go hungry, are always in school and can always receive any necessary medical treatment.

As a sponsor you would receive regular updates on how your sponsored child is progressing both at school and more generally, as well as personally written letters from the child. We would also keep you up to date with all the Plans that Elohim undertakes as it develops as an organisation.

Sponsorships can be paid in one lump sum at the start of the academic year (or at initial point of sponsorship), in three smaller sums at the beginning of each term, or on a monthly basis. Payments for sponsorship can be made through our PayPal account. There are three different types of sponsorship available to someone who wishes to sponsor a child at Elohim:

Academic Sponsorship

This is the most basic level of sponsorship. Academic sponsorship would pay for the child’s school fees as well as all the pens, pencils, books and uniform that any child requires too attend school.

For a child in Primary School academic sponsorship would entail an annual commitment of $160.00/400,000 UGX.

For a child in Secondary School this commitment rises to $200.00/500,000 UGX.

Food and Medical Sponsorship

This level of sponsorship would help to ensure that the child never goes hungry, is fed a healthy & balanced diet and has all of his/her medical costs throughout the year covered.

Food and medical costs naturally vary year on year and child to child but we have estimated that an annual commitment of $400.00/1,000,000 UGX should see one child covered in these respects.

Full Sponsorship

As well as seeing the child through school, this level of sponsorship would ensure that the living costs of the child are met. This includes food, accommodation and medical costs.

Providing the sponsored child with all of these simple amenities which are so often taken for granted requires an annual sponsorship of $600.00/1,500,000 UGX.
